Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
Friends and Family Night is this Tuesday, March 13th from 5:00 pm until close at McMenamins Hotel Oregon. The MHS Jazz Band will be performing at 7:00 pm, and it’s going to be a great evening. My recommendation is to get there just after 5:00 when it’s usually a little less busy and easier to get a seat. This is one of the best (50% of the evening’s total sales are donated to the Mac Band!) and easiest (come out and eat and have a good time) fundraisers there is. Please be there if you can!

A Grand Morning
Mr. Barton wanted me to express his gratitude to all the band parents for getting the kids out on Saturday to play at the grand opening of Roby’s Furniture. I would also like to add a Thank You to the band for representing MHS so well. The weather was beautiful, although a bit on the cool side, and the music was enjoyed by all.

Winter Guard in Sherwood
This Saturday, March 17th, the Winter Guard will take the floor at the Sherwood Guard Show. McMinnville is scheduled to perform at 11:37 a.m. and it appears that each group will only perform once. There are 27 Winter Guard teams competing in this event which will be followed closely by the Sherwood Percussion Show with 21 percussion groups and that will be followed by the Sherwood Winds Show which has 1 entry. (And yes, I have suggested that Mr. Barton start a wind ensemble, after all, it’s a guaranteed second place!)
