News – July 27, 2020

Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,

Hopefully you received the email with the information packet from Mr. Barton about band camp and the marching season in general. It began something like this:
Attached is a pile of information that needs to be shared with everyone involved. I’m excited to begin the 2020 marching season. I am not excited to begin it under these circumstances. We will press forward nonetheless. Please read through the information and fill out the forms, if possible. If you have any questions at all, you can email me at:

Important items: Band camp Aug. 3-7
Band calendar was made pre-covid what we end up doing for performances is currently still being decided.

Please note: This year, all Marching Band fees will need to be paid to the high school.
Another note: The high school offices will be closed until the end of July.


Join the Fun at Band Camp

Band Camp will take place at Baker Field on August 3rd through 7th. Each day, rehearsal will be from 9:00 am until noon.

Parents are needed to help with check-in and snacks. Each day, we need 4 parents to help check-in students, 2 parents to help with snacks, and parents to drop off snacks and bottled water in the morning. Here is the link to sign-up. Thanks for doing your part to help keep this worthwhile program moving ahead.

Another Successful Drive

Thanks to our amazing parent and student helpers last Saturday. Together, we bagged up another enormous quantity of returnable bottles and cans and most are already on their way to Bottle Drop locations near us.
