Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,

NWAPA Liberty Marching Arts Challenge @ Hillsboro Stadium, Hillsboro OR
The band’s second competition will be this coming Saturday, October 9, at Hillsboro stadium.  A volunteer sign up sheet has been created for those who are able to help out.  Volunteer opportunities include: Canopy/tent set up, helping the front ensemble get equipment on and off the field, putting plumes on shakos, loading the trailer, and helping serve dinner.

Front Ensemble Volunteers Needed for Football game this Thursday
We will need some assistance getting equipment on and off the field at the football game on 10/7.  If you are planning on signing up for front ensemble assistance at the next competition it would be a great way to get some practice.

Competition Information
Since this competition is out of town, the day will look a little different than last time.  At this point, the band trailer and parents who are helping set up should plan to leave McMinnville at 9:00am.  Band members are expected to report to the band room by 9:15 to be ready for the bus to leave at 9:30am.  If this changes, Mr. Barton will most likely use the Remind App or tell the kids at school this week.  Students are to bring their own lunch.  Snacks and water will also be available throughout the day.  Dinner will be provided by the Band Parent Organization for band members and all volunteers at approximately 6:00.  Dinner will be spaghetti, ceasar salad, and garlic bread.  The competition will wrap up with the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to start around 9:00pm.
