Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
So I was mistaken – the Winter Percussion didn’t “literally” take the floor on Saturday because it still needs to be painted. (I didn’t find that out until the Parent Show on Friday evening.) I’m sure that will soon be taken care of and from what I hear, it promises to add a lot of color to the show.
Jaime was at the Percussion Premier on Saturday and reports that it was a great day. Great food from Jesse and Melissa and a warm indoor hang out / eating area. Our Winter Percussion kids started the season with a score of 66.90. A great percussion premier!
Owen was also there and sends a big thank you to all the parents volunteers… and some student volunteers the kids invited to come along for the day. Despite the cold and wet weather, things came together smoothly.

Columbia River Winter Arts Invitational
The Mac Pride Winter Guard heads to St. Helens this Saturday for the Columbia River Winter Arts Invitational. This will be their second competition of the season.
As always, parents are welcome and encouraged to join the fun and help out if possible. You can add your name to the list of awesome volunteers right here.
For those who plan on attending, the guard’s first performance is scheduled for 1:13 p.m. and their performance time in the finals will be determined by how they and all the other groups score.

I’m sure I don’t need to remind you, but I will anyway: it takes a lot of money to keep both of these groups instructed, transported, fed, and entered in competitions. Please do your part by being sure your student’s fees are paid and up-to-date.
