Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
First, a great big THANK YOU to everyone who helped getting the band up to and through the first marching competition of the season. It was a perfect Fall day to be out with all the bands over at the Linfield campus. I’m sure you’ve heard about last Thursday’s rainy rehearsal, but just in case you haven’t, here’s picture Rich took from under the pop-up.
The band has already come a long way this season and there are some wonderful “goosebump” moments in the show. A few more details are still to be added which will really pull the whole show together.

Band Parent Meeting
Our next Band Parent Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Library. The main focus will be on meals for the upcoming competitions. We have three more events coming up and since they aren’t just across town, it will involve much more planning to keep the kids well fed.

Pride of the Northwest
The next band competition on the schedule is my personal favorite. Pride of the Northwest will be held at Grants Pass High School on Saturday, October 12th. The weather is usually great (the forecast is for sunny and 65 degrees), the venue is a bit more intimate, is and the hospitality is terrific. I haven’t yet had a chance to discuss the schedule with Mr. Barton, so I’ll be sending out more details later in the week.
