Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,THANKS to everyone who made the trip to Grants Pass and also to everyone who dropped off food for the bus rides down and back. Your support and generosity goes such a long way to keep the kids performing at their best (and also helps keep our expenses down). The band performed the show twice on Saturday and each time scored in the 64 point range – a nice improvement over last week’s competition. The kids are really working hard (as is our dedicated staff) to continually improve the show and add more finishing touches. Their next performance will be at this Friday’s Homecoming Game. As I mentioned last week, Pride of the Northwest is my favorite of the marching competitions. The band parent boosters in Grants Pass go out of their way to make sure that the students are taken care of and that visiting parents and staff have everything they need. The GP students were there to welcome the band and the students from other schools are there having a great time no matter how anyone scores.

To be honest, when I said the agenda was mostly going to be about planning food for the competitions, I figured it would be a small turnout. But it was definitely the most band parents I’ve seen in one room in a long time!
