Halftime at last Friday’s football game marked the first performance on the field for this year’s Marching Band. You can watch a video on the Mac Band (Members Only) Facebook page.

Polo Anyone?
By now you’ll have seen the band’s new ‘casual uniform’. Many parents have asked if they can get an embroidered polo shirt of their own and the answer is — probably. We are hoping to place an order for black shirts (only the band gets the red ones) so that parents will have them before the first competition on October 6th. I’ll need to check on a few details, but we expect the cost to be in the range of $17 to $20. Look for an update in a day or two.

Meeting this Tuesday
Our next Band Parent meeting is this Tuesday, Sept 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the Freshman Den at the High School. With competitions starting in just a few weeks, we have a lot to cover. Please come your questions, concerns, ideas and enthusiasm. And after the meeting you can ‘hang out’ with the band during practice to see what they are doing.

A Question of Balance
Jamie is reconciling payments made to your student’s band account and computing the balance due. You can expect to receive this information at Tuesday’s meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please send an email to [email protected] and we’ll email it to you. Remember, we need everyone to pay at least $100 of their $250 Fair Share before September 14th. Here’s the info again about how to make payments:
A new Fair Share Band Payments page has been added to the Macband website where credit card payments can be made. Please click on the link above and make your payment now.
If you would prefer to mail a check, please make it payable to “McMinnville Music Boosters,” write the student’s name on the memo line, and mail it to:
