Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
My thanks to Karen Sebree for reading yesterday’s email and noticing a mistake in the schedule. The current information is that there will NOT be a home football game this Friday. That of course means that the band will NOT be performing. Sorry for any confusion. As a reminder, here’s the rest of this week’s schedule:
Tuesday, September 11th – Marching Practice – 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the High School parking lot (or another location to be determined)
Tuesday, September 11th – Band Parent Meeting 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm – High School Freshman Den
Thursday, September 13th – Marching Practice – 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm @ Baker Field
Saturday, September 15th – Marching Practice – 9:00 am to noon @ Baker Field

Polo Anyone? UPDATE
By now you’ll have seen the band’s new ‘casual uniform’. Many parents have asked if they can get an embroidered polo shirt of their own and the answer is – of course. We will be placing an order for black shirts (only the band gets the red ones) so that parents will have them before the first competition on October 6th. The cost is $20 and orders must be placed by Saturday, September 22nd. You can order yours on the Macband website by clicking here.

Looking Ahead to Grants Pass
The Mac Band will be traveling to Grants Pass on October 13th and 14th to participate in the Pride of the NorthWest competition. The band will be staying at the Best Western Grants Pass Inn and Mr. Barton has already reserved a block of rooms for students and staff. Parents who wish to accompany the band will need to make their own reservations. Rates start at about $110 online, but you may be able to get a better rate by calling them directly. Be sure to let the hotel know that you’re with the McMinnville High School Band. The hotel is located at 111 NE Agness Ave in Grants Pass. 541-476-1117.
