Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
Congratulations to the Marching Band for two of great performances of “Still I Rise” on Saturday. And another big THANK YOU to all the Parents who showed up to do the heavy lifting of cooking, cleaning, setting up and taking down tents, loading and unloading instruments, and generally schlepping things about.
Our next stop is in Eugene for the UO Festival of Bands this Saturday, November 2nd. There will be 30 Marching Bands performing at Autzen Stadium, it’s the final Marching Competition of the season, and the forecast calls for a sunny 59 degrees. For those who are making the trip and are willing to help out, please add your name to the Volunteer Sign-up Sheet.

For those who attended last year, you know what a nightmare the ticket line was. Well, they are working to remedy their problems and are now selling advance tickets online. The following is a letter from NWAPA with the details. Please be aware that there is a $2.75 fee charged for EACH TICKET purchased through this website.
Hello!! On behalf of the NWAPA and the OMB Festival of Bands, I would like to remind everyone that advance tickets are on sale for the November 2nd championships event. Last year we received feedback that the ticket lines were lengthy so our great partners at the University of Oregon have created this wonderful advance purchase option.
While parking is still $5 cash, your parents, friends and supporters of your unit can purchase advance tickets online as well as program vouchers. This will significantly cut down on the amount of time standing in line and increase the amount of time watching and enjoying Pacific Northwest marching bands.

This week’s schedule: (Please note the times and days are a bit different than usual.)
Marching Band Rehearsal – Tuesday, October 29th, 4:00 – 6:30 p.m.
NO Marching Band Rehearsal – Thursday, October 31st
Marching Band Rehearsal – Friday, November 1st, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Trailer loading to follow immediately after.
UO Festival of Bands – Saturday, November 2nd, All Day. Students should arrive at the high school at 7:45 a.m. Buses will be leaving at 8:00 a.m.
Plans are being made for the Marching Band Parent Show and at the moment, Tuesday, November 5th is the likely date. More details next week.
