Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
A couple of quick notes: Remember to save all those returnable cans and bottles from your Independence Day celebrations for the upcoming Bottle Drop fundraiser. More details about the fundraiser soon to come.
Also, new information has been added to the MacBand Calendar. Marching rehearsal and competition dates for September, October, and November are now listed along with the dates of home football games.

A Better Word Choice
I mentioned in last week’s email that it’s a good time to take instruments in to the the old repair shop. What I should have said was to take them in for maintenance – no need to wait until something is broken to have it checked over.

51 and Counting
There are now 51 students who have signed up for Marching Band on the Mac Band website – hooray! However, I happen to know that there are 121 students who have forecasted for band in the fall, which means we still have 70 students to get signed up. If your kid is one of them, please encourage them to visit the MacBand website and sign up today. The sooner they get signed up, the better we can plan for Band Camp and the marching season.

Fair Share
Thanks to everyone who has made their Fair Share payment! If you’ve already paid the whole amount, that’s awesome and you can skip to the next paragraph. If you are using the suggested payment schedule, remember there is a $75 payment due this Friday, July 5th. Please make all payments on the Mac Band website by clicking right here.

Leading the Way
Thanks to those who sent nominations for Officers for the McMinnville Band Parent Organization for the 2019-2020 school year. We’ll continue accepting nominations until this Saturday, July 6th and get the voting started online next week.
Please send your nominations to [email protected] with the name of the nominee and the position you are nominating them for – President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer. (And yes, you can nominate yourself!)

Band Parent Meeting – Tuesday, July 9th @ 7:00 p.m. There is still a lot of construction happening at the high school, so I’ll let you know when we’ve decided upon a meeting location. The focus will be on all thing Band Camp, so please bring your ideas and enthusiasm.
