Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
Welcome to a brand new year and a whole lot of band activities. First up is our Band Parent Meeting. Join us this Tuesday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Freshman Den at the High School. We’ll be getting together to discuss upcoming events and plan a master calendar for the band year – including the fall Marching Band season. We’ll also spend some time in smaller groups to work on the matching grant challenge and props for the winter guard show. Bring your ideas!

Pep Band Returns
I was among those who thought that with the lack of a high school gymnasium, there would be no Pep Band performances this year, but the basketball games continue and the Pep Band will be there. There are 4 double headers coming up at Wilson Gym on the Linfield campus: Saturday January 19th, Wednesday January 30th, Friday February 8th, and Thursday February 21st. Pep Band call time for all games is 5:30 at Linfield College. You can also find these dates on the Macband Calendar.

Fair Share Update
Jamie continues working to collect Fair Share payments for the past Marching Band season. Here’s her report:
Updated invoices will be sent out this coming week. We are working on making sure all payments have been entered and applied to your students invoice. Some of you may have received an invoice on January 4th – this was in error because we are still updating payments made in November and December to the school. All payments online and sent to Music Boosters have been entered as of 1/4/2019.
Please make payments of at least $25 or more a month so that your student’s account can be paid in full by the end of the school year.

Jazz Night
The McMinnville Music Boosters annual Jazz Night fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the McMinnville Community Center. Doors will open at 5:30 pm, and the event begins at 6 pm. If you’ve attended in the past, you already know what a wonderful event this is. If you haven’t, get ready for a magical evening featuring a delicious dinner, exciting raffles and auction items, and music provided be outstanding musicians from the McMinnville schools.
