Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
The first Winter Guard Competition of the season is coming up this Saturday. Thirty-one teams will be performing at the Guard Premier and Clinic at Tigard High School. McMinnville is one of 14 RA (Regional A) teams, so there will be no shortage of competition, but I’m sure they are up to the challenge – Go Guard!
Last Friday the Symphonic Band put on an early morning performance in the high school commons. The acoustics are pretty lively in there and if you’re a fan of cymbal crashes, it was the perfect place to be. It was a great way to start the day and the crowd loved it (especially when the band started the Indiana Jones theme.)
When you visit the Donate page of the Mac Band website, you’ll notice that the progress bar has moved quite a bit. The offline donations have now been added in and we are nearing the thousand mark. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and please keep spreading the word!

Time change: Monday, January 29 and Wednesday, January 31st, practice will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm
Friday, February 2nd, practice will begin at 8:00 am
Saturday, February 3rd, Guard Premier and Clinic. Leave McMinnville at 7:00 a.m.
Pep Band
Tuesday, January 30 @ 6:00 pm meet in the high school band room, game starts at 6:45
Jazz Band
No practice on Friday
