Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
Jazz Night is this Saturday, and today (Sunday, January 19th) is the final day to get your tickets.
The MHS Jazz Band, the Twilighters, and other student ensembles will be providing the entertainment, Rogue Gourmet Catering will be serving dinner, and you’ll have the chance to bid on a variety of items from local businesses and organizations.
Jazz Night is the main fundraiser for the McMinnville Music Boosters and this event helps provide a large part of the funds for the Music programs throughout the McMinnville school district.

Opportunities Ahead
And speaking of volunteering, the Winter Guard competition season begins on Saturday, February 1st in Tigard and Winter Percussion starts on Saturday, February 15th in Forest Grove. Both of these groups will need some parental assistance.
From driving to cooking to moving props and just being around to help as needed, you are invited to be a part of these exciting programs. We’ll be sending out Sign-up Sheets next weekend, so be sure to keep your Saturdays open!

If you can, please print off a flyer or two and ask a few friends, family members, or even total strangers for support.

Drums of Fire Early Bird Tickets
Planning on going to Drums of Fire this summer? Now is the time to get your tickets. The hosts of this event, the Oregon Crusaders, have just announced that tickets are now on sale at early bird discount prices. This is Portland and the Willamette Valley’s premiere Drum Corps International (DCI) Event. Scheduled to perform this year are Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Knights, The Academy, Mandarins, Seattle Cascades, Genesis and Columbians… some of the best marching music groups in the world!
