News – June 17, 2018

Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,

Now that school is out for the summer, construction will be kicking into high gear at the High School. On Monday, June 18th, crews are scheduled to start in with the planned remodeling of the band and choir rooms. When they are finished at the end of summer, the band and choir rooms will have switched places and all those little storage and practice rooms in the middle will be totally redone. Although it’s a little sad to see the old band room going away, it should be a great improvement and give the kids more room to play.

Let’s Get the Ball Rolling

Hopefully, your student came home on Friday excited to tell you all about the “Get the Ball Rolling” fundraiser. Most of the band students have received the forms and information and we will attempt to connect with the incoming freshman, guard, and dance team later this week. This fundraiser is now on the MacBand website, but please encourage your student to ask for sponsors since this is an easy way they can earn money towards their Marching Band Fee.

Note: Because of the temporary closure of the High School, we are using Incahoots as a central location for students to drop off and pick up forms this summer. Incahoots is located at 905 NE Baker Street and is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Feel free to drop by anytime and talk with Janet or Brian about well…pretty much anything about the band and fundraisers.

Happy Father’s Day,
Brian Bailey
