Greetings Band Parents and Mac Band Supporters,
A Bottle Drive is planned for this Saturday, February 1st from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the High School. We have permission to use the covered area behind Food Services (this is the same location that we used for the Band Tailgate Party last Fall). Many of the parents who often oversee this type of event are not available this time, so if you are able to assist, please reply to this email or text me at 971-901-6477. This is a really easy event to run and we could really use your help.

Winter Guard Parent Show and Premier Competition
The Winter Guard will be premiering their new show this Friday at 6:00 p.m. Please plan to be at Sue Buel Elementary to see the results of their hard work and cheer them on.
The next day, Saturday, February 1st, the Winter Guard competition season begins. Tigard High School will be the host for this Guard Premier Show. Call time for Guard members is 9:30 a.m. at MHS. The bus will be leaving at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to return at 11:00 p.m. Their first performance is at 12:58 PM and the second is at 7:19 PM.

Tracy and family have generously agreed to take on the job of making sure the ensemble is well fed throughout the season, but parental assistance is needed in other areas as well. Please check the Sign-up Sheet and add your name to the list for Saturday. (Note: for those signing-up to help move props, there will be a practice run-through at Friday night’s performance.)

The Mac Band Sponsorship Drive has just started. Below are links to the flyer along with a donor form and a page with a wish list and a list of some of the costs of putting on a Marching Band Show. If you can, please print off a flyer or two and ask a few friends, family members, or even total strangers for support.
